Personal Trainer

Personal Trainer

CBRC Health & Fitness

CBRC Health & Fitness is seeking knowledgeable, motivated, and relationship-focused Personal Trainers who share our passion for improving lives through fitness and healthy living.

At CBRC, our core purpose is building a community and inspiring healthier lives. Our Personal Trainers bring that purpose to life by getting to know each member, understanding their goals, and providing the coaching, encouragement, and expertise they need to make meaningful progress.

We are looking for fitness professionals who are passionate about helping people, eager to continue learning, and excited to be part of a collaborative team.

The Role

As a CBRC Personal Trainer, you will work one-on-one and in training settings with members of varying ages, abilities, experience levels, and goals.

Our trainers develop customized fitness programs based on each member’s individual needs and provide the instruction, accountability, motivation, and support that help turn goals into results.

This is more than simply leading someone through a workout. Great personal training starts with building relationships, listening to members, understanding what matters to them, and creating a safe and effective path forward.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build positive, professional relationships with clients and members.
  • Assess each client’s individual fitness level, goals, abilities, limitations, and needs.
  • Develop customized and progressive fitness programs designed to help clients achieve their goals.
  • Provide safe, effective, and engaging personal training sessions.
  • Teach proper exercise technique, form, equipment use, and training principles.
  • Train members of varying ages, fitness levels, abilities, and experience.
  • Provide instruction across multiple areas of fitness, including resistance training, cardiovascular conditioning, flexibility, mobility, functional training, plyometrics, isometric exercise, cross-training, and other appropriate training methods.
  • Educate and support clients in developing healthy lifestyle habits that complement their fitness goals.
  • Monitor client progress and adjust programming as needs, abilities, and goals change.
  • Provide motivation, accountability, encouragement, and appropriate feedback.
  • Maintain accurate client information, programming, appointments, and other required records.
  • Maintain a professional schedule, arrive prepared, and be punctual for all client appointments.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and professional training environment.
  • Stay current on fitness research, training techniques, industry trends, and continuing education.
  • Work collaboratively with fellow trainers and other CBRC departments to create an exceptional member experience.
  • Model professionalism, a commitment to healthy living, and CBRC’s mission and values.

What We’re Looking For

The ideal CBRC Personal Trainer combines fitness knowledge with a genuine ability to connect with people.

You understand that every member walks through our doors with a different starting point. Some may want to become stronger or improve athletic performance. Others may be exercising for the first time, returning after years away, or simply looking for the confidence and accountability to stay consistent.

A great trainer meets people where they are and helps them move forward.

Strong candidates will bring:

  • A nationally recognized Personal Training Certification.
  • Current CPR/AED certification.
  • A genuine passion for fitness, healthy living, and helping others.
  • The ability to work effectively with members of varying ages, abilities, and fitness levels.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to motivate, encourage, and build trust with clients.
  • A commitment to safe, evidence-informed exercise instruction.
  • Professionalism, reliability, and punctuality.
  • A willingness to learn, receive feedback, and continue developing as a fitness professional.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • A collaborative mindset and desire to contribute to a positive team environment.

Compensation

Pay range: $17.13–$34.00 per hour, plus bonus eligibility.

Compensation within the range is based on experience, qualifications, certifications, and other applicable factors.

Why CBRC?

At CBRC, Personal Training is about more than workouts, repetitions, or numbers on a scale. It’s about helping people become stronger, more capable, more confident, and more consistent in taking care of themselves.

Our trainers have the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with members and see firsthand the difference great coaching can make—not only in someone’s fitness, but in how they feel and what they believe they are capable of doing.

You’ll also be part of a fitness team that values collaboration, professional growth, and learning from one another. We want trainers who are excited to continue developing their skills while helping the people around them succeed.

If you are a knowledgeable and motivated fitness professional who loves helping people make progress and wants to grow as part of a collaborative team, we would love to hear from you.
