8-week beginner triathlon training starts January 13, 2025
Did this year’s Ironman spark your interest? Are you eager to dive into the world of triathlons but unsure where to begin? Our team is here to assist you! Join our 8-week beginner triathlon training program, where you’ll discover your potential and passion for this exhilarating sport!
Our coaches, Jessica Phillips and Michelle Swanson, took part in the 2024 Ironman relay and are eager to share their insights and expertise in triathlon training with you. The program will convene three times a week—on Mondays, Fridays, and Saturdays—from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. Each group session will concentrate on one specific event: cycling on Mondays, swimming on Fridays, and running on Saturdays. Over the course of the 8-week program, participants will be encouraged to complete two additional training days independently, following a plan provided by the coaches. There are some prerequisites for joining the program: participants must be able to swim 100 meters without stopping and walk 3 miles. To ensure personalized attention and coaching, the program is limited to 15 participants. An informational meeting will be held prior to the program’s start for those who will be participating. Also, upon completion of the program a mini triathlon will be put on to finish of the program.
Program Cost:
Members: $209*/month (2 installments)
Non-Members: $599* (one time) this does include a temporary 8-week membership to CBRC Health & Fitness
