Check out our kids and family activities at CBRC!
Play and movement activities help children develop critical physical abilities, teaching confidence and motivation. Physical activity should be FUN and something they want to do independently. Early activity is the steppingstone to an active life! Experts now say every minute adds up, so keep your child moving throughout the day! Being active as a child can decrease their future risk of cancer, stroke, obesity, and disability.
Fitness:
- Youth Equipment Orientation (ages 10-13): We encourage children to stay active and do this safely! During the youth equipment orientation, children meet with a Personal Trainer to show them which equipment they can use and how to do this properly. This is a one-time complimentary session. RED-ORANGE-GREEN BALL (AGES 12 AND UNDER)
In the Red-Orange-Green System of tennis development, court & equipment sizes vary according to players’ size and capability. Red, orange, and green tennis balls vary in compression, size, and speed from the regular yellow tennis balls and allow for a more positive, less frustrating tennis experience. Players can stay motivated by rallying and having fun with tennis!
To maximize enjoyment and success at each level, we will be looking at a variety of factors when considering players for advancement. Cooperation and coachability are key, as well as mastery of the ready position, ready steps, and recovery steps. A short rally with a partner and an overhead serve to the correct box will need to be demonstrated.
YELLOWBALL BALL (AGES 11 AND OLDER)
Whether experienced or new to the game, players ready for yellow ball (full-size) tennis will build their skills in our programs. Advancement in our yellow ball programs will be at the Pro’s discretion and will depend on a variety of factors such as effort, attitude, coachability, cooperation, athleticism, and skill level.

Parent-Tot Swim Lessons: Introduce infants/toddlers to the water.
Jellyfish: Children will learn to become comfortable with their faces under the water.
Starfish: Children will learn the front crawl, elementary backstroke, and proper breathing techniques.
Seahorse: Emphasis at this level will be fine-tuning rhythmic breathing with the crawl stroke. Treading water, the dolphin kick, kneeling, and standing dives are also introduced.
Manta Ray: Children are learning the breaststroke and butterfly. The dolphin kick is also mastered.
Shark: is for the most advanced swimmer. At this level, the butterfly stroke and the breaststroke are coordinated. Swimmers must swim four lengths of the pool with backstroke, breaststroke, and freestyle to complete the program. Students who complete the program are encouraged to join the Pre-Swim Team!
Pre-Swim Team: This is designed for those interested in taking the next step toward the swim team. This class, which will be mildly competitive, is for kids who love swimming and want to have fun.
