Today we’re going to share with you the great new development in the Barre classes at CBRC.
We’ve written about Barre a couple times before. Catch up here and here if you need to.
In the past we have had to rely on using the wall or chairs to aid our balance, and workout our core.
Now, we have a bar. Why does that matter?
Remember, Barre takes its roots from ballet, with some Pilates and yoga thrown in for good measure. Have you ever seen pictures or video of ballerinas working from a bar?
They look graceful, don’t they? That’s because they use the bar to engage their core and elevate their mind-body connection.
That’s why we’re excited to have our own bar. It’s not to lean on. It’s not designed to hold your body wait. But by having just a light touch on the bar, we’re able to balance more easily, so we can focus on maximizing our workout.
It allows us to be mindful of our movements. Which, in turn, allows the most efficiency of our workout.
When you join us, you will notice your core get stronger, as you work with the bar.
We’re excited, because now we have the right equipment to give you the best possible experience.
If you’ve never tried Barre before, now is the perfect time to do it.
If you’ve done Pilates or yoga, you’ll recognize a lot of what we do. If you used to dance, you can join the other former dancers who have found a new outlet.
Barre is for a wide variety of people. Men and women alike.
So, no excuses.
Take a look at the class schedule and come step up to the Barre.
We wish you good health,
