OCTOBER MYZONE CHALLENGE
If you have a MYZONE belt, then you can join in the October Weight Loss Challenge. During this challenge, you work to earn 2,000 MEPS in the blue and green zones only. You can track and compare your progress on the MYZONE app.
MYZONE is a heart-rate based fitness tracker that doesn’t measure speed, cadence, or weight lifted, it measures the effort put in. You can track your MYZONE effort points (MEPs). One of the most effective ways to ensure you get the most out of your workout is to reach your target heart rate and stay there.
The blue and green zones indicate your workout is building an aerobic base, which allows our bodies to take in and utilize oxygen efficiently through aerobic metabolism. One benefit of a long-duration workout is to improve your ability to use fat as a fuel source and another is to efficiently take in and process oxygen.
Both of these improve weight loss, and joining the challenge also allows you to join in on some friendly competition with other members and be entered to win prizes.
LES MILLS FALL LAUNCH
You also have a chance to meet another fitness challenge is by participating in the Les Mills fall launch that started September 30. Whenever you go to a CXWORK, RPM, Sprint, Body Combat, Body Step, Body Pump, or Body Flow, call you can collect a golden ticket from your Les Mills group class instructors.
Collect as many tickets as you can and then return this weekend, Saturday, Oct. 12, for the fall launch and be entered to win a prize.
KIDS CLUB CARNIVAL
Of course, October isn’t just about fitness competitions. It’s also about candy. Everyday Kids Club has a variety of activities available to educate and entertain your children while you work out. The staff always goes above and beyond to help you and your child feel safe and have fun.
