Kim Buster has worked at the Kid’s Club at Columbia Basin Racquet Club for nearly three years. As a mom of two, Kim knows that it’s hard enough to keep up a fitness routine when you’re balancing work and family obligations. Because of that, she’s happy to be part of a team where your children can play, create, and be cared for while you enjoy your workout.
ACTIVITIES FOR EVERY AGE
Kid’s Club is located on the first floor of CBRC and is open seven days a week. Parents or guardians can drop off the kids and fill out a sign-in sheet with their contact information. The adults and child (or children) are given wristbands with matching numbers.
There are separate spaces where Kid’s Club meets that are divided by age. However, there can be overlap depending on the time of day.
- Nursery: 6 weeks through 2 years of age
- Tot Room: 3 through 6 years of age
- Rockwall Room: 6 through 13 years of age
- Kid’s Rec: 6 through 13 years of age
SAFE AND FUN SPACE
Kid’s Club staff pride themselves on customer service and commitment to providing a safe space where kids can be active and have fun while their parents have time to focus on their workouts. Kim says staff make every effort to align their strengths with the age group they work with best. All staff members have a background check when they’re hired and must be CPR-certified.
Consistency is key so the kids and parents get to know the staff, and the staff can get to know the children. The Kid’s Club crew loves the environment they all create for the kids. Whether it’s through story time, Legos, coloring, crafts, or exercise, they know it makes a difference for families. Kim says “for some moms, this is their only time of the day when they have times for themselves to focus on their fitness goals or just relax.” Their purpose is always to help families enjoy a healthy lifestyle.

Utilizing Kid’s Club is easy because you can drop just drop off your kids during regular hours for a reasonable cost. However, there are also there are programs and activities for youth that do require registration. Handouts with details and pricing are available at the front desk or in the kid’s area.
